Havana Kavana

What a wonderful phrase,
Havana Kavana, ain't no passing craze...
It means I regret everything
For the rest of my days...

So, it seems Pill and I have been, for the latter part on our behalf gaming, and generally watching Disney films. Sunday night, coming back in the rain most of us broke out into spontaneous song, the Circle of Life, and once we, Pill, DarkHorse, and I had retired for the evening, and changed into PJs, Dressing Gowns, and Slippers, Pill requested that we watch The Lion King, and what a good suggestion that was...

Jeremy Irons singing gives us chills, and as we had already clarified the the house was indeed empty, we sang along to every song. But is his song only second to Hell Fire, in Hunchback of Notre Dame? I wouldn't say they're the best Disney songs, because I do love a catchy and upbeat tune, although they are the best bad guy ones. I think Be Prepared is better, what do you think?

Anywho, last night we moved on to Hercules, and started talking about puns, Greek Mythology, Jewish race wars, and stuff like that. You know the us'ge (usual). I love Hercules, and Mulan, and Lilo and Stitch. And they've all got great songs, but I think we all know what my favourite Disney film is, so I'll leave it at that...

Fireworks tonight, and they're going to be epic. We're actually travelling out of our way for them so I've decided that they're going to be epic. Plus Hot Dogs, Soup, and V for Vendetta for afters if there's time. Is Bonfire Night one of those evenings with traditions, or am I just making up the whole Hot Dog and Soup thing?

See you shortly after this long intermission, Carpe diem...

And I Will Always Be With You...

As nothing much happened to me yesterday apart from the contraction of a Cold, I'll tell you about my weekend as a whole...

Saturday I worked, though, and don't you love it when you have plans that make you forget that you worked that day? I know I do. Tag, Cherry, and I found ourselves travelling to Red's for a movie night. We crept into her building behind someone with a Pram, Tag helped them through the door with it (a quick whack over the back of the head and they were using the buggie as a wheelchair), and we ascended in the lift wondering why all the signs were scratched out and nothing else...

We rang the bell (and Tag did his Milhouse gag) and Red answered with a vast amount of enthusiasm and amusement at the gag (#sarcychick) and we sat, discussing days, and then food. The telly was on, and I had no idea what the program was, but then New Girl came on and I knew what that was (it's been almost a year since I had television)...

We settled on Pizza, and Tag and I were nominated to get more drink (crisps and cookies too, though I wasn't told to get those). We returned, and then the pizza guy arrived and we had to get that too - he was a really nice chap actually. And then the movie fun could begin - The Internship and This Is The End. Both were really good films.

The Internship was a typical American Comedy/Drama/Romance film (i.e. it had a happy ending), and I enjoyed it. Especially the Bearded Google Search Programmer (BGSP = GOD) who turned out to be a badass in the end - I knew it was coming. (STP means soo many things, I just Googled it)...

This Is The End was something else. Wonderfully entertaining, and everyone was type-cast (as always) with Seth Rogan and Jay-whatever-Baruchel being the unlikely heroes, James Franco being the eye-candy, Craig (Kreg) Robinson being Craig Robinson, Danny McBride being the dick, and Jonah Hill being penetrated by a demon dick. You know, the usual. Also a Channing Tatum cameo that can't be missed.

After that we played a game of Fuck You, which would be far better with more drinks, and went our different ways at 1am. All-in-all, a very successful evening. And, I completely forgot I had worked that day. A plus in anyone's book I'm sure.

Kodaline have made a second music video - that follows from the first - for the same song 'All I Want'. It's a bit odd, I don't know why, apart from extra coverage. Both videos could be seen as stand alones, though Part 2 has a lot of references to part one.

Part 1:

Part 2:

Today I work until 8:30 and I'm going purchase plenty of Cold Relief, Vitamins, and Fruit, ain't nothing gonna drag me down...

Bute Wall

It's here, it has come! But before all that, don't you think it's weird if you think about your funeral too much? You know, who'll be there, who won't be there, etc.

Well, that went a different way to the way I was intending.

Yesterday I educated myself with Les Mis and I thought it was a very good movie/musical/story and it kept me singing long after I had watched Avengers, and well into the night, much to Pill's annoyance.

Hairy Toad Callus!

We went shopping in the market, where Pill was looked at like filth by the Fishmonger, putting the mong in monger. He asked for a pound of Muscles (I don't know fish either) and the Mong looked at him in disgust.

'You want a paand?' he said in utter disgust for the question. And then went off on one about how it would leave three people wanting if they were to just have muscles. So, we walk away, instead, with 1.5 kg of Muscles instead and have loads left over. And if we do the maths, 1lbs = to about 500g, and if Pill asked for 2lbs and told the muffafucker where to go, we might not have had such a fishy evening.

Pill looked at me for guidance, but I don't know fish (or molluscs as they are) and remained silent. Needless to say we had some pasta to accompany our muscles, rather than the other way around. A very fishy meal indeed. And then the bleeping continued to happen so Pill climbed the 10ft to reach the machine of the Fire Alarm and realised that he'd prefer to have his bond back than to smash the thing off the ceiling.

We watched Real Steel, which is a very good feel-good movie involving Hugh Jackman (Pill thinks he looks weird) and a robot with feelings - or that's implied though it's never brought back or mentioned any more than getting the thing to wake up after its had the shit kicked out of it. But, either way, 'Merica!

But I suppose I should get down to it. I've completed what I like to call the 'Friend Edit' of Bute Wall, namely the one I think I'm happy for you guys to read and let me know what you think before I go any further with it. I posted it on my other blog, the one with all my secrets on it, but I'll let you have a read if you want...here!

Have a nice day...

The Fire Goes Bleep...

The Fire Alarm out in the corridor has been bleeping for almost three days now. You can imagine the psychological effect it's having on everything - except me, because I'm not that weak minded that a bleep every 2, 5, and 10 minutes bothers me (it did disturb me the first half a day it did it, but it's grown on me)...

I feel like I should tell you my rota this week, so you can stalk me and somewhat plan around it so we can all figure out when we're free and somewhat be awesome together:

- Today: 9:30-5:30
- Monday: Off
- Tuesday: 10-7
- Wednesday: Off
- Thursday: 10-7
- Friday: 10-7
- Saturday: 10:30-7:30

Needless to say, my 10-7's are the usual, so I can always meet you guys afterwards and I start late enough in the morning to have enough sleep and everything.

My Saturday night involved finishing all the TV I've been watching and I finished House of Cards (so good!) and then, when Pill and DarkHorse returned, we started watching The Last Airbender. Turns out, I'd only seen the beginning of it before, oh God! Why did I watch the whole thing?! Pill and DarkHorse went to bed not too far into the poorly paced, scripted, made movie...

My eyes! The horror, the horror!

Anywho, the Sun is now rising, and I've got to get back to proper work. I've not felt right in work for about a week now, unsettled, and unpredictable. I suppose it's because I've not had a proper day of work in about a week. And I've not had Le Lake Poob Grub either. It's been a long week, and it's going to be a longer one now that Red is also going away for work this week. Lucky we had that awesome Drinks/Hitchhikers/Drinks/Lap Dance Week before all of this.

Ah, good times...

Out on the weekend? Of course!

Hep C And Some Blood...

There's no breakfast in the house, so I'd best make this a quick one, but not really, because who needs food? All those adverts telling us that it'll keep us full until lunchtime are bullshit. They keep me okay until about midday, I grant you, but midday ain't my lunchtime!...

It was a typical day yesterday, until someone mentioned Kingdom of Sweets to me. Isn't that closed now? And indeed it was, unless you were a St David's employee, for then you could waltz up to the doors, all boarded up, flash your St David's Card at the bouncer, or your uniform like I did, and enter into the carnage on the other side. Tens of people scrambling for the open-air pick-a-mix, the shelves just about bare save for a few items. I grabbed a couple of things and then got asked what I had on me, money wise. The answer 'about £4.50' caused the cashier to grab my bag and fill it with all kinds of goodies, to the brim, and she simply said, that'll be £4.50. I may have got a lot of sweets, but the majority of them are crappy, american, and some what odd. Who makes fruity caramel? I mean really!

Either way, it was cinema night, and I had to run out of work and carefully saunter to the car, where the others were eagerly awaiting my arrival. We almost crashed when I climbed in and Tag pulled off, but hey, he was caught up in the moment, and I think the Corsa wanted the space. We sped to the Bay, and strutted through the cinema as if we owned the place, which for the most part we did. The kids went back to school, and the place was quite empty. We got good seats on account of the movie being released two weeks or so ago, and we settled in for some bloody gore...

And bloody gore we got, there were knives, machetes, axes, hammers, nails (ha! you deserved it), a screwdriver set, and a crossbow with only two bolts or something. It also gave us sex and boobs in the first scene and sort of tried to continue for the next ten or fifteen minutes, but alas, ain't no body got time for that. And after the initial jumps and scares, animal masks and everything, the movie sort of took a turn for the Home Alone (there's nails in that too). A poor stranded Aussie girl, trying to save herself from home invaders and...

*SPOILER ALERT*

half the family she thought she was going to have a good time with. 'You don't know how lucky you are to have parents like yours.'

We started rooting for everyone to die, and when that bad guy jumped through the window on to the nail, I threw my arms in the air with joyous intent. It was a bad film, but it really did engage and encourage us to join in. I like to think I would at least try and fight the invaders. They looked a bit pants. And I don't think, if I had the upper hand, that I would let any of them live just to kill them a little later and stretch out the plot. Wasn't the Tiger Mask the one that got stabbed in the kitchen, and then later kicked in the bollocks, and bludgeoned with the Meat Tenderizer?

Thank the Lord there isn't room for a sequel. Sure she survived, but going all Exorcism of Emily Rose on that shit, ain't gonna happen...

*END OF SPOILERS*

Either way, we exited, happy in the fact that we engaged with the film, and wandered to Chicken House, as per tradition. Although it was only 9pm, and there were people there. We like the place to ourselves, we like the exclusivity 11pm gives us. We made our way to Spoons to somewhat quench our thirst while we waited, and then accidentally ordered food. I have to say, the Mount Stuart has nothing on the Western, or the Gatekeeper for that matter. The drinks are okay, but the tables are always sticky, and the food is somewhat under par. At least give me my own knife and fork and not expect me to get it from the dusty rack over by the bar. Also, lipstick stains on the wine glass, a clear indication of Hep C which as Tag said will give us all Hep C due to Cherry giving it to Tag, Tag to me, and then I shall inevitably give it to Red (I don't know how, and I don't know when, but you're gonna get some - yo gurl, how you doing?).

But, creepiness aside, it was a nice night, but the food left more to be desired. Perhaps we could just grab some Subways and eat at the secret beach next time? Dominoes pizza and Red's flat?

Just a thought. Anyway, I might go find some breakfast now. Perhaps try that new Tesco by the station, apparently it's massive. I shall be the judge of that...

I'm Soaked!...

Well it was my turn to host, and BOOM! nothing much happened with it. I really haven't found out what my flat is good for, except for Pill and I to be living in. Either way, it's not watching movies, rainy days in, or video games with friends...

The next place I move in to will accommodate all those things plus the ones we have now and more...

Anyway, I waited for the Gas Man too long and finally text him at 10:30, to see at which point of the morning he'd arrive. Turns out he was running a bit late so it would be 12pm. I dashed out of the house and shopped, and got a haircut (thank fuck for that - as nice as big hair can look - mine was just turning into something I'm never fond of)...

I returned home in time for the Gas Man and then for Tag, Cherry, and Red, for we had decided that something had to happen due to us all being off. I think we should have tried the museum. But nothing solid was planned and we forced ourselves into it. We started watching Video Game Trailers and then we moved on to YouTube Videos and watched the entirety of Stropey plays Slender the Arrival. Tag then attempted to play both Slender and Slender the Arrival (downloads y'all), and then we went for a walk...

It was a bit dry, I thought the rain had passed and I didn't bother taking a jacket - the outcome was both wonderful, fun, and dampening. Getting caught in the rain, seeing Slendermen everywhere, all the signs are warnings, and then hiding under a tree for cover before talking about getting soaked and touching each other.

Our time at the park was fun, I should have brought Simba with me. He's not seen outside in months. When we got in Tag set about going through movies we had to watch (democratically) and waited for someone to say yay or nay to any or all of them. While he did that, I cooked the pizza and chicken wings I purchased earlier. They weren't good either. God damn-it flat! And we watched Evolution before Red exclaimed that she was going home.

Hopefully Sunday will be better due to planning and expectations, and then Wednesday/Thursday after that...

I cleaned and ironed for the rest of the evening, allowing time for another movie from my childhood - Hoodwinked - and then I went to bed. My brother thinks I should have gone for Mask of Zorro. Once in bed, I heard the door open and I ran to confront the axe murderer lurking behind my door only to find a Pill, wet, cold, and returned home after his week, before disappearing off to the west again in the morning. We chatted a bit, and I returned to bed.

I am now quite tired, despite the long sleep, and I've got five days of commitments ahead of me. Bring it on!

What are we watching Sunday? This week I'm thinking wine - unless it's warm obvs...

You Better Believe It...

I'm not sure what I was going to write about today, but I knew it was something. Oh well, let's see where this goes...

During the commitments yesterday one of the girls said: 'Have you lost weight?' The answer being 'Yes, I have, but not since the last time you saw me.' 'Oh, you look good.' It made me smile a bit. Feeling sort of healthy, apart from this morning. It's the sort of midweek slog feel. I fear I'll get that a lot next week when I'm working for five days to have a four day weekend. And the four day weekend's gonna be so freakin' awesome!

But more about that next week...

Red decided on the weekend that we're going to see Kickass 2 tonight, and I'm all over that. I loved Kickass, and now there's a second one, who knew?! (jk) But I was watching Shanghai Knights last night and I started to recognise the kid in it who plays Charlie Chaplin...

My you've grown... (#yeahyoubetterbelieveit)

He's a bit of a cray cray in actual life though, soo...anyway, moving on. Red's invited us down to the Bay this evening, and then for a spontaneous-long-time-in-the-making-and-yet-we-knew-it-was-going-to-happen-today sleepover of sorts. It should be fun. Chicken House or Subway tonight then?

Also, as three out of the four of us have Friday off, shall we do something or do we see enough of each other every week already? Cherry, did you want to come to Lads Day? (Baggy Jeans and Checked Shirts). I think Tag and I's haircut date might be out of the window as the train ticket to Ponty plus the haircut would cost more than just getting haircut in the city.

I just had a freak out wondering where my comic-con ticket was. Phew. Found it. (Secret Pocket style).

And just to leave you with something I'm excited about next year. Fable: Legends. I love Fable, it has to be my Zelda, I've been playing that game for years. And I've played them all more than once. And I love the characters, spirit, and overall feel of the world. I think I based my Panto on it. Do you remember that? The Panto. Man that was years ago...

My Actual Day Off

Yesterday I had a day off, but before that, it was Date Night...

I shopped during the day for it, buying chips, dips, and chocs, but when it came to home time I was wandering down the shopping centre and I realised I was missing something. I swore to myself, got smiled at by a random, possibly for my colour clashing clothing that Red pointed out later on, and shopped in Tesco again, where I bought exactly the same chips, dips, and chocs...

After that stupidity, Tag and I rocked out to the Digimon Theme in his kitchen while I washed up and he cooked all the things. I like our new Sunday routine. Cooking, well sort of, and then sitting down and enjoying the fruits of our labour. We watched many many things, White Girl in Black School 2, Charlie Sheen: Before the Drugs, and Judge Judy with a Plot (Objection! Sustained). I admit I did fall asleep for 10 minutes or so during Judge Judy, but man be tired, and then I was wide awake for a while. Tag and Cherry went to bed at about 12:30 maybe 1am, and Red and I stayed up talking, I made some comedic noises with the blow up bed, we laughed and frolicked, until it was 2:30 and I opened the window (plastic don't breath yo!).

Did you know I'm 80% Dark? Not in a bad way, but in a sort of mysterious way. Sort of like Dark Chocolate.

Either way, morning came and the three adventurers (early risers) wandered into town and broke from the MaccyD's way to Western. Can you believe you can order a pint at 7am nowadays? Hot Damn... We breakfasted, caught up on the news, which as I've stopped watching TV altogether is something I actually quite miss, and then walked Tag to his. Then I accompanied Red to a few shops before saying goodbye, and then I went to Tesco to buy Cereal, Toilet Paper, and Milk. I came out with Toilet Paper and Milk, with the Cashier and Security Guard silently judging me, and wondering whether I knew that Papier-mache was with glue and not milk...

Oh well, I ventured home, exercised, wrote, and restrained myself from watching Avatar Aang again. Instead I watched Legend of the Seeker (I switched the first episode off twice - who knew Fantasy didn't work with bad effects and an American accent?), all the Doctor Who Finale's since Ten-Inch, Super 8 (pretty cool), and Shanghai Noon (CLASSIC!)...

I have no idea where my real-world fiction is going, but it's certainly going to take me more than two drafts I reckon (which is something I don't do very often, you should be honoured).

Have you guys seen this? You probably have, you've got TVs...

But anyway, roll on Wednesday, Kick-Ass 2 and a Red Flat Hangout, that'll be different (in a nice way, obvs)...

Laterz, Carpe diem...

Winter is Coming, A-gain!...

Ba, ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, ba, Ba, Ba, Baaaaaaaa...

That's enough of that right now.

The Game of Thrones board game isn't actually that bad when you know how to play. But it did get a lot like Monopoly towards the end as it had gone on for six-hours and everyone bar the winners had given up on life. Well, I wouldn't go that far, but you know the point in Monopoly when you start giving up? The one where just one person seems to have all the money and no one else can possibly win, but you've got to go around giving away your money, mortgaging (Death Gripping - not a Star Wars reference at all but a bit of Latin for your ears. Mort = Death and Gage = Grip) your properties, and then going through the whole bankrupting process. You know you're going to lose. No one, apart from Banks and J.K. Rowling has gone from being bankrupt to being wealthy again.

But I digress...

We gathered in our humble abode, after Tag and I had finished watching Fast 5 and Fast 6. It was one hell of a Tostesterone filled afternoon. Epicness, Splosions!, and Vin Diesel. I can't wait for Fast 7 (the final one) and Red and Tag have said they'd come with me to go see it. So why didn't we see Fast 6 in the cinema? Could you imagine the Splosions! on the big screen. Plus the ultimate heroic thing of catapulting yourself off a car, after you've just blown up a tank, across a bridge to catch a woman in mid-air (Superman-style) only to land, bank first into another car's windscreen, and for the woman to be the only one in pain.

And then Pizza, Drinking, and Game of Thrones happened.

The guy in the shop said that the game would be very good if you have 3-6 dedicated players to play with. Little did he know, that we were not reading the Game of Thrones, but were huge fans of the TV-Series (save one of us), and that we were in no way dedicated to the rules of play, nor to the facts and figures involved in playing. Red had no idea what was going on. No of us knew how to play, the 32-page rule book and numerous internet videos sought to that, but she had the added lack of Game of Thrones knowledge.

Pill was Baratheon, DarkHorse lingered as Lanister, Tag was Tyrell (pretty, pretty flowers), Cherry was House Stark, Red was Martell, and I was the Greyjoys. So we set about explaining to Red everyone's relationships to each other.

'First of all you should know, Pill is a cunt, you can call him that, it's fine. And that Cherry, Tag, Red, and DarkHorse are all fucking Pill. Tag is fucking Pill's brother, Red is fucking Pill's other brother, Tag's sister is fucking Pill, Cherry's sister was fucking Pill, Pill's father used to sleep with DarkHorse's Daughter along with everyone else. DarkHorse's Daughter fucks DarkHorse's Son (or vice versa), and the Greyjoys like to fuck themselves.

Simple enough for you?

Either way, we toasted, we drank, we ate a pizza the size of Pill, twice, and we played the hell out of that board game. It would have been much better if we played it quicker than we did. A 3-hour game would have been long enough I reckon, if we ever all play at once again.

Now I'm looking forward to Date Night Sunday with a double-bill of the Returned! (squee!) But can it possibly top the levels of awesomeness from my Tostesterone filled afternoon/evening? I'll let you know.

The Crawl...

The Swingers and I went to watch The World's End the other day (Bacon Wednesdays) and throughout it, despite being wonderfully refreshed after spending the day with Cherry and Red drinking, eating, and shopping, I couldn't help but get the thirst desperado feeling only a man marooned in the desert gets as he stares at a glass of water he can't reach evaporating. I don't think it helped that the cinema itself was the same temperature as a desert, and the cornettos we had (kindly provided by Cherry) did not help the thirst. If you didn't know, The World's End is essentially (Hi Tag!) about a pub crawl. And if you want to know more you should probably go check out Red's blog here...

But it got me thinking, let's do a crawl of our own. I've not quite figured out the basics, but I think if everyone buys their own drinks it'll avoid arguing over who's round it is. Some generous souls might provide shots throughout (or halfway). And the ladies can drink their own girly drinks (or perhaps Gin and Tonics a la film?). Either way it's got to be the equivalent to a pint's content or whatever. But as for the circuit, I've been thinking about that too. And you know how much I love a good map...

1. The Westgate
We'll start at the Westgate, not only an obvious starting point, as it is a few steps from our base (Pill and I's house), but also, symbolically, the doorway we all entered the real world and Cardiff from the West (i.e. Carmarthen, Big End, or Ponty).

2. The Gatekeeper
Obviously, as we enter the city, we need to pay the Gatekeeper, and where better to do this than at the home of the man himself?

3. The Queen's Vaults
And then, as we intend to get blind drunk, I think we should pay homage to our country's Royals, starting, obviously with the Queen herself. We should raid the vaults and wet the new Royal's head.

4. O'Neils
Moving swiftly to the Irish Quarter we'll show them what the Welsh are made of and finish our fourth drinks and walk out of there, heads held high, and arms linked in a River Dance.

5. The Prince of Wales
The second Royal to receive our blessing of the evening, the Prince of Wales, our Prince. He shall quench our thirsts and we shall move on.

6. The Great Western
Then we pay homage to the form of transport that carried most of us to this beautiful city. The Great Western, not only our main haunt, but the place we met.

7. Duke of Wellington
Now for the man who helped provide us our freedoms from Europe. A toast to Wellington, and his generals, one of which resided in Carmarthen (hence Monument Hill).

8. The Borough
Then we toast to the Borough we now call home. The great city of Cardiff!

9. The Owain Glyndwr
But let us not forget our past. We are Welsh, we are free, and Owain Glyndwr cemented himself as the icon of our Welsh identity.

10. The Rummer Tavern
A place to remember that we are an island nation, and a great one at that. We shall never forget that Britannia Rules the Waves!

11. The Goat Major
Our Army's Mascot, the great welsh buck, Royal, Deadly, and Completely Welsh. A toast to that glorious beast.

12. Dempseys
And finally we finish in the oldest establishment in town. The talk of Cardiff since 1720. We finish on the very foundations of a city, and celebrate our triumph with a lot of music and dancing.

How's that for a slice of fried gold? (should that question mark be there?)

It's A Kinda Magic...

Yesterday was a day-off, and thusly I utilised it in such a way that meant I cleaned the entire house before midday, did a bit of shopping, and I still managed to fit in ironing, four movies, and a meal...

Because obviously you don't want to hear about my cleaning exploits, I'll skip a bit...just one of the four movies I watched yesterday was a new one, fresh off the press, and hyped up to the max. Now You See Me is a Movie starring Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelsen, and Mark Gruffalo, and occasionally features Is-la Fisher, My Cocaine, More Than Freeman, and Davey-Uglier-Than-Jim-Though-Both-Kinda-Odd-Looking Franco. And as it is an American film it is fun, although it does like to spoon feed you to conclusions before the conclusions are made and spoil all the surprises.

I would have liked to see far more magic, and far less magic, if you get me. The tricks in the movie were proper real magic, and not anything anyone could possibly do, and that spoiled it a bit for me. Though I did enjoy, and noticed a trick with a coffee cup I've done on more than one occasion.

Before the movie however, we Four Horsemen ventured to the realms of Steak and Sheikh where the service was misunderstood, and the chicken came out clucking. The Shakes were good though. Red even spontaneously bled because it was too much for her, that and she bought the largest burger on the table (I helped her a little bit).

I have a desire to learn card tricks again now, not only because it would help my job, but because I think it would be very very very cool. And I sort of want hair like grownup Jesse, though saying that, the soul patch looked a little OTT.

In other news, as I went out shopping for presents, I found a map, and it got me thinking about a certain something I could dress up as that wasn't a Hobbit for once. And I think, if I put the effort in, it'll be pretty cool. Pill wants me to get goggles (Steampunk stuff), and I've been thinking about a big long dusty duster jacket. Maybe I could style my hair super-saiyan or Tai-from-Digimon and tint it organgey too. Either way, I'm planning on going as some sort of Cartographer (MAPS!). Though Red did have a good point, why not just Indiana Jones it?

I missed Luther the other evening, so I shall have to iPlayer that shit, and the tennis is still on. Life is good, though it would appear I have some daily commitments on Sunday, Wimbledon Final Day (poo).

I'm A Bell End...

I like friends. I love all my friends, and I know that me being all sentimental and shit like that at the moment, means like I might miss out a lot of what I planned on saying about every single one of you. Because you're all wonderfully special and brilliant, and you've stuck by me even though I've started to become rather dickish, toolish, and quite frankly an arrogant arse. So, I just want to say thank you...

But yes, recently I've noticed yet another change to my overall personality (I swear if Pill read this he would call the men in white coats). It's not a very big change, but it has made an impact on a few things I say, that I doubt I would ever say again, or remember saying in the first place.

Confidence is a stupid thing in my hands. I'm quite sure of the words coming out of my mouth, and yet the people closest to me don't understand a single word, mainly because I've gone and got them in the wrong order, or they've gone and become some creepy pervy comment (usually accidentally). I know when I'm being creepy and I know when I'm not, so it sort of hurts when people don't understand that I'm not (you get me, blood?!)

For instance, the other night, when shopping in Tesco, Red and Cherry stopped in the middle of the aisle and I put my hands on Red's shoulders to try and move her and Cherry along. I would have done that if it was anyone of my friends stood in the middle of the aisle. As such, the action was perceived by some as the molesting gropes of a sinister swine. And the offer to carry Cherry to bed was yet sincere and found to be creepy. I don't know, I don't think I'll ever get this shindig right.

Cherry, Red and I sat in the Ponty Garden waiting for the rain, drinking in the two o'clock somewhere afternoon, and making light of the music on the boombox. We waiting for Tag to return from work, so we watched countless movies, and ate too much. When Tag appeared we replenished our stocks and continued to eat too much, not drink enough, and watch movies. I got an angry stare for offering to sleep on the sofa, to save the hassle of an inflatable bed, and that was that.

That next day we were driven to town to do our daily tasks, and I was to train to the Big End for Clareg's birthday get-together. It rained almost the entire way from the train station to his house, and since departing the train, I didn't see a single soul until I reached my destination. I almost took a picture, except I was concerned the zombies might have gotten me if I stopped.

Apparently World War Z, Man of Steel, and The Internship are very good.

I got to Clareg's, and was greeted with Cider (ma fav in a Chalice) and welcomed by a load of old faces. We spoke of life the universe and everything, and much merriment was had. I made plenty of bad jokes that some people laughed at. I met up with an old ex-friend of my sister, and pizza hut was had. And oh how I regret it. Two days of eating large quantities of crap. My body hates me.

Oh well. I got a lift to the station (thank you very much). I got called a bell end for booking the wrong week off work (to be fair, that was a bell end kinda thing to do). And I got back and to bed for about midnight, before waking at 5am, 6am, and finally 7am where I just had a shower.

I finish today at 5pm. If you fancy doing anything, but let me know, but other than that I'm looking forward to day off day (Wednesday) for sleepings. Hi TimTimmonie! (thank you for reading)...

Roasting Neighbour's Drinks...

Let's face it body, we're not as young as I used to be, but you've got to admit we're having more fun than we used to. And I think it's time to learn that you are a picker-upper and not the picker-upped. I may have also broken Red's arse, but I'm sure I can explain that one away in a little non-committal, non-predatory manner...

Saturday, the day of wine and pizza, dawned and saw me, myself, and my Mother/Sister hanging around town. For being the shoppers of the family, my Mother and Sister didn't do very much shopping while they were in the Diff. I met them while they had breakfast at John Lewis, and I stayed with them a while after a trip to Primark and the Works. I bought a plug for Pill, and I checked my work rota. Monday morning 11:30am sharp! (WTF? I've got to wait until 11:30 to start work! - so here I am, blogging).

Anyway, I bid farewell to ma famile, and wondered homewards for an afternoon of Halo, before having to return to town to meet with Red as she finished work, as was pre-arranged the evening before. Tag called me as I sat outside Red's Work, and I almost got sat upon by a fat man insistent on eating his peaches. No euphemism intended. He had finished, and wondered where I was, and upon discovering, he met me three-minutes later, badass speaker in-hand. And no less than two-minutes after that we watched Red push a man out of her shop and she joined us.

The trio walked back to mine, and then with Pill and DarkHorse at the ready, we drove to Tesco for 'supplies' and then to Tag and Cherry's to drink said 'supplies'. Fire was loved and lost, than to have never fired at all. HB was there, which came as a surprise to some. We got wet outside (namely my bum), and persisted in the interior dances of a nightclub. The walls started to leak with perspiration, and the tunes blasted out into the night. Neighbours hated us, but who cares, fuck you neighbours!

There was a bra taking off competition (I did not learn anything, join in, or practice), and a boxer-taker-offer award, which I did not win either. HB went around kissing everyone, and checking that I was alright (again - I'm getting tired of that), and I discovered that I could not only lift and carry two women on each arm (thank you Red and DarkHorse - against your will), but I could carry one woman on my front and one on my back, until the one on the back let go of my back and subsequently found herself on the floor. I'm amazed it took us three attempts and that was the outcome each time. I made Cherry touch the ceiling, and Pill tried carrying me in a fireman's lift, before dropping me on my back (so that's where that bruise has come from - it's all lies, they're not even square). The most damage I came away with is a slight graze on my left ankle, and sore muscles.

I didn't drink as much as I hoped, only getting through a bottle in total, and HB kept pushing me off the blow up bed and stole the duvet. Next time I get the sofa. I've also done something to my left shoulder, though I imagine that's something to do with being dropped.

The next morning, some of us went to work, and others went to ours. I went to ours, and forced HB to play Halo, before I allowed her to play Skyrim while I cooked dinner. I did start at 1pm, which wasn't bad considering I didn't have very much equipment or space to do anything. Red came over, movies were watched and food was had. In the end the meal turned out to be mainly mush (which was disappointing) but it tasted alright. The conversation sort of went down hill from there really. Tag and Pill started discussing things that I wasn't interested in. HB made a few remarks about the way I pronounce things (the right way I should add), and I sat there in silence waiting to go home, except I was home.

It was nice, but I don't think I'd do it again, well not for the whole crowd. And besides, roast dinner is quite a boring thing to cook - even if there was Cauliflower Cheese.

Everyone left, I recovered my iPod again, and DarkHorse and Pill did the washing up. We sat and watched a Knight's Tale and the evening was ended.

And I read the definition of glomping and it made me smile. Thank you.

That There's A Belly Button...

That title could be a little insensitive to a certain redheaded individual, but roll with it, it's relevant, sort of...

After my daily deeds on Wednesday I started the arduous trek to the Bay. The walk wasn't strenuous, and the weather wasn't too bad, the only real arduous part was when my iPod decided to pause every now and then for fun it seemed. Needless to say, it annoyed me. But then I received a phone call from Red, and I called her back, but I couldn't get through, so instead I called Tag:

'WE'RE COMING TO GET YOU BARBARA!'

So, I waited on the side of the empty road and flagged them down, like a NYC cab, and we sped off in the other direction, breaking the law a bit, but nonetheless going the way we wanted. Our destination, and the place we spend most Wednesday evenings (due to my late working times), the Cinema. Our movie, Hangover Part III. Or as the ticket called it Hngvr Prt III which is pronounced as Hung-ver-pErt-ee! (I googled it).

I enjoyed the movie very muchly. As action packed an fun as most action movies tend to be, but it wasn't a Hangover Movie, there wasn't even a Hangover in it! Well, not until the credits of course, but they still lost Doug (I have boobies now!).

We vacated the cinema after the credits, as is our way nowadays (damn you Marvel), and ventured into the smelly air. It does always smell like wet socks down there. We ordered Chicken House (traditions be a mounting I think), and probably stumbled on some doggers on the walk back.

The next day just so happened to be my first day of Holiday (and I think it's more than 10-days now, eek!) so I set about things to do, item first being a haircut. I know I paid, and I physically saw the lady chop parts of my hair out, but it doesn't feel like I've had a haircut. Oh well, maybe next payday. I visited Tag in work, they were talking to a famous so I thought I'd just interrupt. He wasn't too famous, but he is the second Misfits actor I've seen this week. Perhaps they're remaking it, in Cardiff! (that would be odd, but I think the Bay has enough high-rises to accommodate).

Then on the way home I wandered my usual route, and I pressed the button to cross the road by the Castle, I was thinking about walking home through the park. Though something else struck me. Fuck it, the Museum's free I thought, and walked up that way, discovering a small deserted park with another Marquee of Bute statue, and I noticed that they're erecting (giggity) tents opposite the museum. I wonder what they're doing with those. I traversed the museum's floors for a couple of hours, taking in memories of my childhood. My dad would always take us to the Museum when he looked after us. I think he just wanted to get us to learn a thing or two about history and the make up of the world, because I don't think he ever took us to see the art upstairs. Either way, DINOSAURS!

I returned home after, but not before taking three businessmen to the train station (good deed done), and sat and wrote for many many hours, before eating with Pill and DarkHorse and watching Rango with them (That there's a belly button, being a quote from said movie). I then returned to the writing. It's all crappy, but I think I've found plot. Tag's eyebrows rose when I told him that yesterday. I hope you'd be proud. And that's where I am, and what I've been doing. This evening, since everyone has invited themselves over, Red and I have been invited to Tag and Cherry's for the evening. It'll be my first free journey there and back, because DarkHorse is driving, since moving to Cardiff I think. Who knows?

I think I miss driving. It's just like exploring, but with a car. (obvs, you moron)...
