The Man In The Moon...

I think it's fair to say, that waking up this morning, I haven't felt this good for many many months. And I'm not sure whether it's anything to do with the Karms Nights I've been taking, or the 12-hour shift I just did, but I feel good.

On the flip side, it's quite depressing that this flat is brightest in the middle of winter with all the lights switched on than it is at Midday on Midsummer's Eve.

Hey diddle diddle, the Cat and the Fiddle,
The Cow jumped over the Moon.
The Little Boy laughed to see such fun,
And the Dish ran away with the Spoon.

How long will I love you? As long as stars are above you, and longer if I may. I'm also finding it increasingly difficult to focus on just one thing at the moment, which is seemingly adding to my absent mindedness. I forgot where I put my helicopter the other day for about 45mins.

For you I'd wait, til Kingdom come, until my days, my day is done. And say you'll come and set me free. Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me. Tomorrow, I shall be wrapping all of my Christmas presents. Half of my colleagues think I'm being cheap with my wrapping paper this year. I must buy string. The other half like the traditional look. They're gonna be actual parcels, in actual sacks. Its gonna be good!

Shake it, shake it and we're moving again. Been a long time coming for the working man. Shake it, shake it and we're moving again. When the money is high, we can start to spend. Just 15 days left to go. And I'm working all the rest of them it seems. Fun times.

I shall see you later. Pip pip, and more importantly Carpe diem...

It Always Seems Impossible Until Its Done...

That was the most restful night's sleep I've had in about a month or so. And my reason being, drugs putting me into a dreamless state. It was quite pleasant. Thank you Karms...

Yesterday was Thursday (I could never get the hang of Thursdays) and as it was, it seemed like a pretty normal day. Work and all that was work. The Harlem Globetrotters came into store to perform a few stunts five and a half hours later than advertised, and my walk home was filled with ideas for projects I'm going to ask permission to do today. Its going to be a busy couple of weeks if I get the go ahead. But it'll be worth it. And then I get home and we sit down, like normal, and watch our programs, like normal, and then I read that Mr. Mandela (as I was taught to call him from a young age) had died.

I remember signing a postcard in a Catholic Conference a very long time ago in Manchester which said on it:

Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice. Like Slavery and Apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. Sometimes it falls on a generation to be great. YOU can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.

And the idea was that we sent that postcard to ourselves and remember the message we wrote on it and the message on the postcard. I still have the postcard and its messages. Thank you Mr. Mandela.

It's LOTR Day again, tonight's installment, The Two Towers (Part 2: Electric Boogaloo) and it's going to be epic again.

Carpe diem Everyone!

Stress Levels...

Do you know some people think I'm stressed?

Apparently I'm quite cool in the waking world. I know my shit, I can fly with the best of them (and that's not street), and yet I have awful dreams and nightmares, I continue to bite my tongue in my sleep, and I can't eat anything without feeling quite ill. Perhaps I'll just stick to coffee and milkshakes. Who needs food anyway?

Pill, DarkHorse and I went to the pub last night to watch the game. It was nice, and it wasn't too busy. I was nearly asleep in my chair when the full-time whistle was blown. I have no idea why I zonked out so much, but the walk home woke me up for another three hours.

Everytime I think about writing now it calms me. Well, not calms me. I start thinking about a world that's not our own, and a place that I control, and where the possibilities are becoming more and more plausible each day. They're not, but you know what I mean I hope. It's been the tiniest of sparks in my life of work and play, and it's certainly something new to focus on.

I know I've started sounding like a madman recently. And 'one of those people' who talk about their books all the time, but I honestly don't mean to. There are lots and lots of scenes in my head just playing over and over, each time perfecting themselves, and the nasty ones get worse. Perhaps that's where the nightmares come from.

I might go back on the Kalms. We'll see what happens tonight.

Waking Up Alone...

Its rather odd waking up in the dark, but I think it's even odder waking up alone. Now, I don't mean alone in bed, because I've always done that, for 23/24 years, and I know no different, and I don't care anyway... (forever alone...hashtag)

But I do mean alone in the house. Even upstairs was gone. I couldn't hear her shuffling or bashing and crashing (she's quite clumsey from the sounds of things). And it was an odd feeling considering that I had spent the evening with all the guys, even GG, and went home with both Pill and DarkHorse.

So, I woke up alone, and then spent the day washing the dishes, eating Nachos and Dip, honing my artwork, and playing GTA 5. I even discovered that they weren't to be returning that day via a text sent at about 4ish. But, by that time I had caught up on television and was deep in Downton.

I can see why people are so addicted to it.

It's going to be a strange week. I have a day off on Thursday, but before then I'm working a 9-5, a 10-7, and a 11:30-8:30. Fun times ahead, from the sounds of things, and hopefully a couple of hang outs throughout too.

Quiet Day It Is Then...

In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die. And where you invest your love, you invest your life...

A very nice lyric that just floated over my iPod speakers and into my ears. It made me smile and feel good about myself. It's both a very depressing indie statement that I like all too much because it's attached to an upbeat melody, but it's also a very sweet confession of love and life and everything in between.

Let's face it, its raining outside, and my friends all have work, what else am I going to do, but consult the musical realms and sit here and write - well I suppose I might make a breakfast in a bit, and watch Avengers/Les Mis...

Don't you find that forcing yourself to have a lie-in is one of the most painful ways of sleeping?

I'm hoping to finish Bute Wall (But-e-wall) later so you all might have little messages to my other blog (the writing one) where I keep my secrets. Or I might just email you all the body of text that I'm forming, I haven't figured it out yet.

Who knows, I might even do some Writing People stuff later (eek-eth, could you imagine?). Though saying that, something needs to be done about that. Perhaps in the coming months we'll figure it out again.

I don't have very much to say today, perhaps I will later, or tomorrow, but what're you going to do? It's my day off, it's Pay Day, it's raining, and no one's around.

Quiet day it is then...

An Off Day...

Yesterday I was late. Now I don't know about you, but I like to think of myself as quite a punctual person, I'm not sure about presentable and polite, they're both subjective, but punctuality was certainly something I was good at - until I got my dates mixed up, and whilst brushing my teeth at 9:05am I realised that it was my blue moon shift (9-5) instead of my usual (10-7). I spat out the tooth paste, grabbed everything, and ran - alas dear reader, I had not the opportunity to saunter to Tesco and purchase a breakfast like I thought I was going to. I ran all the way to work, and apologised very muchly for my tardiness, caught my breathe and went to work...

Tag and Red came to visit a couple of times, and that was probably the highlight of my day. Customers drove them away though (bloody customers)...

After work, it got a bit weird too. I was home early, and Pill wasn't - I did the washing up and perused the internet for nothing in particular. I think I'm going to get a keyboard for my kindle, just so I can pretend to be a high-class business man on the train to London at the end of the month. Who knows? I've also been thinking about what my Mother has gotten me for my birthday, considering she was in Cardiff to buy it a couple of weeks ago. My birthday's not until November. I did find a school friend's blog yesterday too, he used to be quite a good friend and we grew apart as we all seem to have done. And I saw another old school friend of mine (with a baby) in the shop, and the person who helped me and my friends when we were mugged. It was weird seeing them all grown up. But anyway, moving on...

Pill and DarkHorse arrived a little later with shopping, some of which I had already done (we now have four loaves of bread), Pill set about getting ready to do my exercises and I heard the timers go off, I knew he was done. DarkHorse forbade him from doing another Set (something I haven't tried yet either), but he came out exhausted, drenched (soaked!), and he congratulated me on being able to do that three times a week with heavier weights.

Then he cooked curry (again) and I managed to smash a glass. He called me a twat and then we began a back and forth that was wonderfully immature. I called him a 'garlic knob' and he looked disgusted. We laughed, trying to picture what a garlic knob would actually be like (the answer is horrible), then great white buffalo was mentioned, and then we got back onto the HTC game - mostly for DarkHorse's amusement. I showed them the trailer to Filth - and they really want to see it too. And then they sat down to watch Black Butler - an anime that's not as racist as it sounds - and I sat with them for a while.

I almost napped, but I went to bed instead. Last night I dreamt of plug-in air freshener, I was woken by a dripping gutter outside at 4am, Pill slammed the door on his way out at 6am, and my alarm woke me up at 7:30am. All in all, not a very restful night's sleep at all. Tomorrow, I aim to sleep well - fingers crossed...

Nearly There...

Well it's been a while, yet again, and, yet again, I can only apologise for my obvious lack of blogging between now and the last time I blogged.

Well it's been a very wet and relatively miserable January, well for the most part. I've signed on, had my first lot of payments and expect many more. I feel like a much larger person, mainly because all week I've been dining out on Take Away and now my jeans feel tight. I've been waking up late morning and going to bed after a late night. And I've neglected my writing, reading, and general exercise. Also this blog.

There is one thing though that, now I don't want to say keeps me going, because that just sounds completely depressing and bordering on the suicidal. So don't get me wrong when I say 'keeps me going' I'm not depressed or suicidal, I'm tired, just very tired. And the one thing that sort of wakes me up are my friends. They keep me awake, and annoyingly enough they keep me motivated when I'm with them, but I can't do anything, because I'm with them.

I feel drained, sort of stretched, like butter scrapped over too much bread.

Carpe *yawn* diem, until next time bloggers...

A Two Toast Day...

Well, as the title says, today was and is a two-toast day.

Before we get started today I would like to inform you that on the 21st Sept 2011 you can have the opportunity to run around Carmarthen shooting Zombies with Nerf Guns, and completely kicking ass or getting munched. If you would like tickets for this event they are available here and the full rules and terms and conditions are there as well. If you would like to be a volunteer, you can sign on there too (you'll be getting in for free) and if you wish to compete then tickets are £10 and you must be over the age of 16. Okay?

Moving on to toast...

For those of you who don't know what this means, and I'm going to presume that's all of you, a two-toast day is a day where you need to start out by eating two portions of toast. Hence a two-toast day. Now you might think this would be something to do with preparing for the day ahead. Well you'd be wrong...

Two-toast days are for the rough night you had previously. And now I know what you're all thinking.

'He drank a little too much.'

Well will you change your mind if I say I've been having a lot of rough nights recently? Pretty much every night since getting back from university.

'You're an alcoholic, you need to see someone. There are meetings you can go to.'

No, I've not been drinking...

'We never took you for a homeless man or a gigolo!'

No I'm not one of those either. I've just become a bad sleeper.

'Oooooh.'

I don't know whether it's because of the stresses of life or because as a writer I'm not happy with anything I've written, or whatever. I just don't know.

'But you're not as bad a sleeper as I am.'

Don't you think I know that?! I'm sleeping okay, though perhaps the dreams aren't helping. I never used to dream, it's quite a recent development. And they should be happy dreams as well, but I'm probably reading them all wrong and torturing myself. It's the getting off to sleep I'm having difficulty with. I shut everything down, log off everything, switch everything off, sort of early nowadays (12:30ish pm of course) and just try to sleep, and feel my mind thinking about these things, and the next time I know it, it's light outside and I'm still trying to nod off. Well last night was quite bad, but it got worse when my mother decided to have a text-conversation with me at 8:30am and then told me to go do some washing.

And can I say, I am tired. Today is a two-toast day. I have decided that today I will be doing some writing and reading eventually. But definitely some xbox - I've recently gotten back into Mass Effect 2 - and playing through it I'm actually realising how excited I am for Mass Effect 3 - it's gonna be A-MAZING!

In other news, I can't help but notice that, despite my nine devoted followers (Hi Guys, love you all) I'm getting over twenty views per blog. Now, either my nine devoted followers have been reading this blog too enthusiastically, or there are other people reading. I see you, you know I do! So I have an ask of those invisible readers, comment below and let me know you're reading and I'll give you a shout-out and your very own codename in the very next blog. And perhaps I'll be making a story staring all you lovely people, even my regulars. Let me know you care, and I'll make you the protagonists of the next blog story. Who knows. I've got nothing better to do after all.

And, as always, if you liked reading this most enjoyable, if quite rant-filled and depressing, blog then by all means press the 'join this site' or 'follow' buttons to your right, and if you especially liked this then share it with your friends by pressing the appropriate Social Networking Site also on your right.

Now I leave you with something that we're loving today, right now this second - 'OH I LOVE BIRDSSSSSSS!

Carpe diem, until next time bloggers...

P.S. I didn't get my letter, and I'm not on the Hogwarts express again *sad eyes*
