And I Will Always Be With You...

As nothing much happened to me yesterday apart from the contraction of a Cold, I'll tell you about my weekend as a whole...

Saturday I worked, though, and don't you love it when you have plans that make you forget that you worked that day? I know I do. Tag, Cherry, and I found ourselves travelling to Red's for a movie night. We crept into her building behind someone with a Pram, Tag helped them through the door with it (a quick whack over the back of the head and they were using the buggie as a wheelchair), and we ascended in the lift wondering why all the signs were scratched out and nothing else...

We rang the bell (and Tag did his Milhouse gag) and Red answered with a vast amount of enthusiasm and amusement at the gag (#sarcychick) and we sat, discussing days, and then food. The telly was on, and I had no idea what the program was, but then New Girl came on and I knew what that was (it's been almost a year since I had television)...

We settled on Pizza, and Tag and I were nominated to get more drink (crisps and cookies too, though I wasn't told to get those). We returned, and then the pizza guy arrived and we had to get that too - he was a really nice chap actually. And then the movie fun could begin - The Internship and This Is The End. Both were really good films.

The Internship was a typical American Comedy/Drama/Romance film (i.e. it had a happy ending), and I enjoyed it. Especially the Bearded Google Search Programmer (BGSP = GOD) who turned out to be a badass in the end - I knew it was coming. (STP means soo many things, I just Googled it)...

This Is The End was something else. Wonderfully entertaining, and everyone was type-cast (as always) with Seth Rogan and Jay-whatever-Baruchel being the unlikely heroes, James Franco being the eye-candy, Craig (Kreg) Robinson being Craig Robinson, Danny McBride being the dick, and Jonah Hill being penetrated by a demon dick. You know, the usual. Also a Channing Tatum cameo that can't be missed.

After that we played a game of Fuck You, which would be far better with more drinks, and went our different ways at 1am. All-in-all, a very successful evening. And, I completely forgot I had worked that day. A plus in anyone's book I'm sure.

Kodaline have made a second music video - that follows from the first - for the same song 'All I Want'. It's a bit odd, I don't know why, apart from extra coverage. Both videos could be seen as stand alones, though Part 2 has a lot of references to part one.

Today I work until 8:30 and I'm going purchase plenty of Cold Relief, Vitamins, and Fruit, ain't nothing gonna drag me down...

I'm Soaked!...

Well it was my turn to host, and BOOM! nothing much happened with it. I really haven't found out what my flat is good for, except for Pill and I to be living in. Either way, it's not watching movies, rainy days in, or video games with friends...

The next place I move in to will accommodate all those things plus the ones we have now and more...

Anyway, I waited for the Gas Man too long and finally text him at 10:30, to see at which point of the morning he'd arrive. Turns out he was running a bit late so it would be 12pm. I dashed out of the house and shopped, and got a haircut (thank fuck for that - as nice as big hair can look - mine was just turning into something I'm never fond of)...

I returned home in time for the Gas Man and then for Tag, Cherry, and Red, for we had decided that something had to happen due to us all being off. I think we should have tried the museum. But nothing solid was planned and we forced ourselves into it. We started watching Video Game Trailers and then we moved on to YouTube Videos and watched the entirety of Stropey plays Slender the Arrival. Tag then attempted to play both Slender and Slender the Arrival (downloads y'all), and then we went for a walk...

It was a bit dry, I thought the rain had passed and I didn't bother taking a jacket - the outcome was both wonderful, fun, and dampening. Getting caught in the rain, seeing Slendermen everywhere, all the signs are warnings, and then hiding under a tree for cover before talking about getting soaked and touching each other.

Our time at the park was fun, I should have brought Simba with me. He's not seen outside in months. When we got in Tag set about going through movies we had to watch (democratically) and waited for someone to say yay or nay to any or all of them. While he did that, I cooked the pizza and chicken wings I purchased earlier. They weren't good either. God damn-it flat! And we watched Evolution before Red exclaimed that she was going home.

Hopefully Sunday will be better due to planning and expectations, and then Wednesday/Thursday after that...

I cleaned and ironed for the rest of the evening, allowing time for another movie from my childhood - Hoodwinked - and then I went to bed. My brother thinks I should have gone for Mask of Zorro. Once in bed, I heard the door open and I ran to confront the axe murderer lurking behind my door only to find a Pill, wet, cold, and returned home after his week, before disappearing off to the west again in the morning. We chatted a bit, and I returned to bed.

I am now quite tired, despite the long sleep, and I've got five days of commitments ahead of me. Bring it on!

What are we watching Sunday? This week I'm thinking wine - unless it's warm obvs...

P.S. Lad's Day: Pain and Gain, Doomsday Arcade, Fast and Furious, Expendables?

No, I'm Spartacus!...

A day of cleaning, television, and writing awaits me, but first I started a new exercise regime. I think you'll agree the old one wasn't getting me anywhere, and I will admit that was mainly to do with eating out all the time, and not having any food in the house so falling for a takeaway, which is exactly what happened last night...

Pill and I have been working long hours, and despite getting home at 4pm almost daily he then spends a few hours working on his dissertation, so we basically do the same hours at the moment. So when I got back yesterday (payday) neither of us had done any shopping and our fridge was filled with drinks and condiments, and nothing worth making a meal out of. I offered to buy Pizza Hut and we slobbed and watched Pokemon Movie 2000, which was something Pill hadn't seen before. He enjoyed obvs.

There's a TV Series we could all watch again, Pokemon!...

Gone are the days of Date Night Sunday, what're we gonna do without the Returned? Actual scary films or perhaps The Lord of the Rings?! Pirates?! But we should really finish Harry Potter before we try any of that.

Anyway, exercise... It's called the Spartacus Workout (google it) and Clareg recommends it for burning fat in the fastest way. You basically do a set of ten exercises for 30, 40, or 60 seconds a piece, and you repeat if you want a harder workout. And the exercises are mainly thigh related (the largest muscle group) so if I also start eating a little better than I am now, and if I reduce my drinking (occasionally) I might end up looking a little something like this...

Only fatter, larger, and brilliant in every way, so probably a bit more like this...

...alright, gay...

But anyway. Pill got quite ill after the pizza, but he lives to tell the tale. I've brought the final things I require from Amazon, Pill's lending me a telescope which is awesome. I'm not sure I'll have a weapon, I can't find one I like. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place, but the end of the month cometh. Red has now marked us all down for her crew as well. The steampunk charms be awesome!

I wouldn't mind playing Game of Thrones again...maybe later. Today I must buy a bag and possibly some food, though I'm not sure how important food is compared to material goods...

Winter is Coming, A-gain!...

Ba, ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, ba, Ba, Ba, Baaaaaaaa...

That's enough of that right now.

The Game of Thrones board game isn't actually that bad when you know how to play. But it did get a lot like Monopoly towards the end as it had gone on for six-hours and everyone bar the winners had given up on life. Well, I wouldn't go that far, but you know the point in Monopoly when you start giving up? The one where just one person seems to have all the money and no one else can possibly win, but you've got to go around giving away your money, mortgaging (Death Gripping - not a Star Wars reference at all but a bit of Latin for your ears. Mort = Death and Gage = Grip) your properties, and then going through the whole bankrupting process. You know you're going to lose. No one, apart from Banks and J.K. Rowling has gone from being bankrupt to being wealthy again.

But I digress...

We gathered in our humble abode, after Tag and I had finished watching Fast 5 and Fast 6. It was one hell of a Tostesterone filled afternoon. Epicness, Splosions!, and Vin Diesel. I can't wait for Fast 7 (the final one) and Red and Tag have said they'd come with me to go see it. So why didn't we see Fast 6 in the cinema? Could you imagine the Splosions! on the big screen. Plus the ultimate heroic thing of catapulting yourself off a car, after you've just blown up a tank, across a bridge to catch a woman in mid-air (Superman-style) only to land, bank first into another car's windscreen, and for the woman to be the only one in pain.

And then Pizza, Drinking, and Game of Thrones happened.

The guy in the shop said that the game would be very good if you have 3-6 dedicated players to play with. Little did he know, that we were not reading the Game of Thrones, but were huge fans of the TV-Series (save one of us), and that we were in no way dedicated to the rules of play, nor to the facts and figures involved in playing. Red had no idea what was going on. No of us knew how to play, the 32-page rule book and numerous internet videos sought to that, but she had the added lack of Game of Thrones knowledge.

Pill was Baratheon, DarkHorse lingered as Lanister, Tag was Tyrell (pretty, pretty flowers), Cherry was House Stark, Red was Martell, and I was the Greyjoys. So we set about explaining to Red everyone's relationships to each other.

'First of all you should know, Pill is a cunt, you can call him that, it's fine. And that Cherry, Tag, Red, and DarkHorse are all fucking Pill. Tag is fucking Pill's brother, Red is fucking Pill's other brother, Tag's sister is fucking Pill, Cherry's sister was fucking Pill, Pill's father used to sleep with DarkHorse's Daughter along with everyone else. DarkHorse's Daughter fucks DarkHorse's Son (or vice versa), and the Greyjoys like to fuck themselves.

Simple enough for you?

Either way, we toasted, we drank, we ate a pizza the size of Pill, twice, and we played the hell out of that board game. It would have been much better if we played it quicker than we did. A 3-hour game would have been long enough I reckon, if we ever all play at once again.

Now I'm looking forward to Date Night Sunday with a double-bill of the Returned! (squee!) But can it possibly top the levels of awesomeness from my Tostesterone filled afternoon/evening? I'll let you know.

She Doesn't Like You Either...

Well, that was an experience. I've never witnessed so much genital pulling, blood, or mouths before, and that was just one short...

One sunny Saturday afternoon I was walking out into the brightness, when I was greeted by a Red at my door. It was a very pleasant surprise as she said we were going to Jamie's Italian for dinner. It was a very nice evening spent with friends. One of the few evenings we had spent as almost adults (except for me almost going 'cooy!' to the waitress to get her attention). I had pasta, and I loved it. It was one of the specials, and I probably wouldn't order it again without checking out the price. But oh well...

Then on Sunday, as I returned home I received a phone call from Cherry (although the first five or six didn't go through - bloody network problems!) inviting me to theirs for some live television and pizza hut. I remembered the days when I occasionally went to pizza hut two or three times a week. I don't know why, perhaps they are addictive, and since I had pizza hut on Friday as well when I entered the realms of Clareg's birthday, I felt a tad guilty.

I 'cooy!'ed at the waitress again, and we were on our way to an evening of soft drinks, and live television. Top Gear and The Returned (both wonderfully good, but only 8-parts?! WTF? That's the French for you - or something to that effect) and then we watched V/H/S.

Oh God. It's basically a movie of movies, with an on-going story throughout, however, some of the movies were better than others, and thus the movie did kinda get less scary as the evening went on. The first short involved a succubus and a bit of rape, mainly from the drunk men, and eventually the succubus herself. She full on rips off the male member and leaves it lying on the floor for us at one point. Tasty. So that set the mood, and then when the next short happened we were all expecting a continuation. The same room, the same misfortune, a girl looking for a ride. So when it turned out to be lesbian killers (and that's lesbians who kill - I had to clarify for Pill last night) I was a little disappointed, though it did have the shit-yourself-scary moment (Hi Tag!) when we didn't know about the lesbians.

Either way, watching scary movies with Red, Tag, and Cherry was fun. I'd do it again (and I mean proper scary movies - the sort of run bitch, run! type shit), because it got us all worked up, and really into the moment, unlike most other movies.

The next morning, Tag and I had our daily tasks to do, so we caught the earliest train. Red (a morning person, like myself) tagged along, and we went to town. Collected a coffee from my old haunt, Red seemed a mixture between scared and amazed when the coffee barista said my name and wrote it on my cup. It was nice to see them again, and I didn't want to tell them that I stopped going to save some money (£65 a month or something). Tag had to go to work, and I had a whole hour to wait. Red lingered with me and we walked all over the centre, avoiding Metro Men and Big Issues. I kept suggesting breakfasty places, and she kept suggesting clothes shops. Either way, nothing much was open, Pret A Manger was too fancy for my tastes, and we ended up in Tesco anyway.

This morning I woke up at 7:30, to see if I could get back into my exercise regime, and good news is that I can, although with two weeks off it's quite difficult to do. Bring it on. Also, the end of next week will be the start of my second holiday week this year, and it's gonna be fun. And also, also, we might be going to the cinema tomorrow, eek! Fun, Fun, Fun!...
